New at Maillots Market · Made-to-request service

Already have the shirt but want to add a player’s name, number or sleeve patch? The Maillots Market football shirt printing service is now open for requests involving a shirt you already own. This article explains what we can assess, how the free quote works and when you would send us the shirt if you decide to go ahead.

At a glance: send a free request for one shirt. We check the item, its availability and whether the shirt is suitable, then prepare a quote in CHF. Printing requests are limited to names and numbers of existing players; patches can also be requested. Wait for our approval before paying or sending the shirt.

Football shirt printing for a shirt you already own

Already have a football shirt and want to add an existing player’s name or number? Looking for one or more patches for a shirt in your collection? With Maillots Market’s printing and patches on request service, you can describe the project to us. We review the shirt, the item you are looking for and availability before sending a tailored quote in Swiss francs.

The shirt may have been bought from Maillots Market or elsewhere. This service is for a shirt you already own; it is not an automatic add-on when buying a shirt from our shop. Your request is free and carries no obligation. No items are ordered and no payment is required at this stage.

Why do we review each shirt individually?

Two shirts with a similar design can differ in fabric, season and existing details. A suitable name set or patch must also be available. A player’s name alone is therefore not enough to confirm that the work can be done. We need to identify the reference you want and assess how it might fit your particular shirt.

Photographs support the initial review, but they cannot always replace examining the garment in person. Availability can change as well. A request is not a promise of a particular print, price or delivery date. The quote is based on your project and explains the next steps before you commit.

Which names, numbers and patches can you request?

For shirt printing, we consider names and numbers of existing players only. You can ask for a name and number together, a name alone or a number alone, depending on the item sought. Tell us the club or national team, season and player if you know them. If you do not know the exact reference, describe your idea and we will check what is possible. Personal first names, nicknames and bespoke designs are outside this service.

You can also request patches on their own, or patches together with player printing. Mention the competition, number of patches and intended placement where possible. A picture or reference link may help us identify the item, but it does not guarantee that the exact patch is available or suitable for your shirt. We check this before anything is ordered.

The season and shirt version matter if you want a coherent period look. Namesets, numbers and sleeve badges may differ by year or competition. Tell us if period accuracy is important to you. We cannot promise an exact reproduction before checking the specific item and its availability.

How to send a request

  1. Describe your shirt. Name the team at a minimum. Season, maker, size and version help if known. Mention existing printing or damage. The form accepts one shirt per request.
  2. Describe your project. Choose printing, patches, both or advice. Give the player and number, or the patches and their intended positions. An approximate budget, preferred date and reference link are optional.
  3. Submit the form. The form on our service page sends us the details for an initial review. You can then email photographs separately, following the instructions shown after submission.
  4. Wait for our reply. We check the reference, availability and the shirt’s constraints. If the project appears feasible, we send a detailed quote in CHF covering the proposed work, estimated timing and applicable shipping costs.

You then decide whether to accept the quote. After your approval, you receive a secure payment link. We order the items only once payment has been confirmed as received. Do not send us your shirt before we approve the project and give you instructions. Sourcing and shipping are coordinated for each request.

What if the shirt is vintage or already printed?

An older, damaged or already printed shirt needs extra care. The fabric, sponsor, existing nameset and patches may limit what can be done. Removing or replacing an existing print is not guaranteed. Some shirts require a physical inspection before final approval and before any items are ordered.

Describe visible defects clearly and prepare photographs of the front, back, sleeves and affected areas. Pictures help with the first assessment, although they cannot always replace examining the shirt itself. If an intervention would put the item at too much risk, we should say so rather than promise a result.

Price, turnaround and shipping

Price depends on the shirt, the items sourced and the work involved. A single price would not fairly describe every project. Your quote sets out what is included, return shipping and an estimated timeframe. The cost of sending your shirt to Maillots Market is clarified separately. We do not guarantee a fixed turnaround or free shipping before reviewing the request.

The request and quote remain free and without obligation. Ask about anything unclear before accepting. Once the work is done, see our guide to caring for a printed football shirt, alongside the care instructions for your own shirt and the applied items.

Tell us about your shirt

Use the form on our service page to explain what you already own and what you would like to add. We check the options before requesting payment or asking you to send the shirt. If you are unsure about the exact item, choose the advice option and describe your idea.
