Liverpool 2018/19 Home Kit (9/10) (XL)

The 2018/19 Liverpool New Balance home kit features a deep red, white logos, and a two-button collar. The subtle lines in the material add depth to a design that remains very clean.

This replica version in size XL, without printing, is distinguished by commemorative embroidery around the Liverpool crest: six stars and the years of their six European Cup/Champions League victories surround the Liver Bird. This detail gives this piece a significance directly linked to the Reds' European history.

Shirt history

Liverpool unveiled this shirt in April 2018. New Balance continued with the deep red, featuring a two-button collar and a line pattern inspired by the redeveloped Main Stand at Anfield.

The model made its debut before the end of the previous season, against Brighton in May 2018. This first appearance serves as a reminder that a home kit can be showcased on the pitch before the start of its reference season.

In 2018/19, it accompanied Liverpool in the Premier League and during their victorious Champions League campaign. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, and Virgil van Dijk were among the players who wore it. Jordan Henderson, the captain mentioned in the official kit launch, also associates this design with the team from that period.

Around the crest, the years 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, 2005, and 2019 are embroidered in white, accompanied by six stars. They commemorate the six European titles listed in Liverpool's official honours. The inclusion of 2019 specifically links this embroidery to the title won at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Why we love it at Maillots Market

We love the contrast between the apparent simplicity of the red and the details that reveal themselves up close. The buttoned collar and the pattern linked to the Main Stand give the model personality without distracting from Liverpool's colours.

What we especially value about this piece is the embroidery around the crest. The six stars and white dates bring together several generations of European victories in a single detail, right up to the 2019 triumph. We like how this adds depth to the shirt while maintaining a clean look without player printing, focusing instead on the Liver Bird and the club's history.
